Bremerton Football

Head coach: Paul Theriault

2018 record: 4-6 (2-4 Olympic)

Key players: Kelo Logova, jr., QB/DB; Kaipo Retome, sr., RB/LB; Kanye Taylor, so., RB/DB; Joshua Tapangco, so., RB/DB; Ethan Farley, jr., RB/LB; Luke Torres, sr., OL/DL.

Outlook: The Knights are very young and will be counting on underclassmen to play key roles this year; but they are also athletic and tough and should still be in the hunt for a playoff spot despite their youth. Logova now has a full year under his belt at quarterback and Retome, Taylor and Tapancgo have plenty of size and speed to pick up chunks of yards out of Theriault’s wing-T offense. Their chance at the postseason likely rests on their games against North Mason, Port Angeles and crosstown rival Olympic.

Schedule: Sept. 6, 6:30 p.m., Black Hills | Sept. 13, 6:30 p.m., Wilson | Sept. 20, 7 p.m. at Rochester | Sept. 27, 6:30 p.m, North Kitsap | Oct. 4, 6:30 p.m., North Mason | Oct. 11, 6:30 p.m. at Port Angeles | Oct. 18, 6:30 p.m. at Kingston | Oct. 25, 6:30 p.m., Olympic | Nov. 1, 6:30 p.m. at Sequim.
