The Historic Roxy Theatre is culminating a year-long celebration of its 80th anniversary with a fundraising event on Saturday, Dec. 18, highlighted by the showing of two favorite Christmas film classics: “White Christmas” and “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

Each month this year, the Roxy has shown “Movies of the Decade” as part of its 80th-anniversary celebration.

Tickets are $55 for both shows and include an appetizer and entrance to the wine reception and presentation. “White Christmas” will run at 3 p.m., followed by “It’s A Wonderful Life” at 7 p.m. The reception and presentation start at 5:30 p.m.

The tickets can be purchased online at roxybremerton.org.

The Roxy Bremerton Foundation also will welcome to the theater Jeremy Arnold, author of Turner Classic Movie’s “Christmas in the Movies.” Arnold is the author of several books, including “Christmas in the Movies: 30 Classics to Celebrate the Season.”

As a commentator and film historian, he has appeared as a guest host on Turner Classic Movies and at several film festivals. Arnold also has recorded audio commentaries for the Blu-Ray or DVD releases of 15 films, organizers said.
