Drum roll please … Port Gamble Country Christmas is here | Port Gamble Gazette

We are stocked and ready for perhaps our biggest event of the year, Port Gamble’s annual Country Christmas.

Join us for a traditional holiday weekend in historic Port Gamble as we spread small-town holiday fun 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 9 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 10. Take in the sight of more than 100,000 Christmas lights.

The main event is Santa’s Workshop, hosted by the Girl Scouts of Western Washington, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 9 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 10. Cost: $5 per child. Also, the day includes tractor rides, town lighting of the Post Office building, sidewalk sales, and a spectacular fireworks show provided by Boomtown Productions. Specials and holiday cheer at Port Gamble shops continue through the weekend.

Visit our website for more details as we get closer to the event: www.portgamble.com (Events tab).

Last show of 2017

The Port Gamble Theater contributes to the holiday cheer with a sweet and scrumptious production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” Dec. 1-17. A special matinee is scheduled for 2 p.m. Dec. 9 in conjunction with Port Gamble Country Christmas.

In this Roald Dahl family favorite, Charlie Bucket lives in poverty in a tiny house with his parents and four grandparents. But his life is about to change when he is the winner of the fifth golden ticket and enters the magical world of the mysterious Willy Wonka!

Get your tickets soon; this is one of the theater’s most popular shows and is sure to sell out quickly. Go to www.portgambletheater.com.
