Van Zee tennis courts to close for repair work

City says courts will reopen April 23

PORT ORCHARD — The city’s Van Zee Park tennis courts are to be closed to the public beginning Tuesday, April 20 through Friday, April 23 for tennis post anchor concrete work, city officials said Thursday.

The tennis courts at 300 Tremont St., will also be resurfaced through a $27,366 contract approved by the City Council last month. That work will be undertaken by FieldTurf USA.

Public Works officials said the tennis courts will be open for public play on Friday, April 23.
